For the Love of Canti
2021
At some point during the COVID lockdown, I became obsessed with developing projects solely using my carpentry skills. I decided to limit my creative process exclusively to manufacturing, without drawing, without traditional research, and without any type of CAD or technical data.

The only certainty I had was that I wanted to create an extremely rigid piece of furniture with as few legs as possible. The chair takes its functionality from the cantilever systems usually applied in architecture.

Produced in my former studio in Mexico City with relatively limited tools.

His practice constantly strives to combine hyper-local landscapes with the use of advanced manufacturing techniques to produce various material experiments, which often lead to industrial design pieces, limited editions, and self-initiated projects.
