Silla Estándar
2021


    Estándar is a comfortable and highly functional rigid chair. With straightforward construction, every piece is cut to the exact same dimensions (thickness and width), maximizing efficiency during the manufacturing process.

    The orthogonal silhouette creates a lightweight object that is versatile within any space, combined with a simple stacking capability.
     On the occasion of the MDF Design Fair (2021), I decided to experiment with different chromatic schemes to explore color transcendence within the local context and the material culture of Mexico.

    Eduardo Altamirano (MX, 1992) is an independent designer who graduated from Écal Master in Product Design. Since 2017 he has been actively working in the three-dimensional world under the pseudonym of en la superficie.
